My boss told me on Friday that unless I do something really stupid (like, I don't know, pull the whole internet down), my Microsoft contract is being extended through the end of June, 2009. We can all breathe a little easier now :)
In August of 2007 I ran my first organized race, the Seattle Guts and Glory 5K to help raise money for Crohn's Disease. I guess you could say I caught the "running bug" and began to push myself to complete further and further distances. I initially started this blog to track my training progress as I prepared to run the Vancouver half-marathon in May, 2008. After achieving that goal, I took a break from running.... However, in the back of my mind I secretly contemplated attempting the Marathon.
After some much needed time off, I have decided to train for the Philadelphia Marathon happening November 23, 2008. I appreciate any encouraging comments and suggestions as I make my way to the ultimate goal of completing my first marathon!
